FIGHTING FOR THE CAUSE IN ZIMBABWE!!

HI AGAIN

Well, I know I just wrote something 2 seconds ago...but I just have to add more...sorry

I am talking to my friend at the moment who lives in Zimbabwe and again, I am forced to question the state our world is in right now!! It breaks my heart to see and hear about the devastation in our world. We take our freedom for granted!! I want you guys to understand how fortunate you really are! How BLESSED you are to live in Australia!!

Right now as I write, in Zimbabwe there are millions more people who are homeless because the country's Prime Minister, Mugabe, has just destroyed their houses to 'clean up the city'. Now people are homeless and dying while they wait for their homes to be rebuilt.

Get this...the G8 summit is meeting right now...one of their items of discussion is breaking the war on poverty in Africa...Zimbabwe, however, is not on their agenda because of the corrupt leadership in Zimbabwe. Why should these innocent people be made to suffer because of bad leadership?

So, the question is, why do they vote these leaders in when they know they're corrupt? The answer: They have no choice! This is what my friend told me, in his own words..."Basically elections dont mean a thing because there is so much violence outside the capital and people are forced to vote for the 'ruling' party in the rural and therefore basically there is no way they will lose" How cant this be happening? How can our world be falling apart like this? Worst of all, how can we be allowing it to happen?

Because of the most recent happenings in Zimbabwe (housing being destroyed) Australia has decided to ban the Zimbabwe cricket team from coming to Australia...how is that meant to help? We can do so much...all the ppl meeting for the G8 summit right now are all superpowers who can do something to help! But they are just brushing it aside!

I dont really know what to tell you here! I dont know what can be done? I dont know where to start in even suggesting how I think this situation can be fixed! But what I do know is that WE NEED TO BE PRAYING!! We cannot abandon these ppl. If prayer is ALL we can offer, then PRAY WITH ALL YOUR HEART!!!! But if you can offer more...then PLEASE do what you can!!

I really dont know what else to tell you...all I know is that my heart is breaking for my friend and his country and I cant even begin to imagine how broken God's heart is right now for His people!! So, please pray!! Pray for our broken world!! Pray for Zimbabwe!! Pray for the ppl there!! Pray for the leaders in Zimbabwe!! Pray for the G8 Summit...that they would change their hearts and add Zimbabwe to their agenda! Pray and believe that GOD WILL REIGN AND THE VICTORY WILL BE HIS!! THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD!!
