Fighting for the Jehova Jireh who fights for us!

Man, my blogs are getting to be too few and far between...

Well, I had an incredible weekend this weekend. Saturday morning I did a BBQ at Bunnings to raise money for Botswana and it started out a total disaster. It was very overcast and starting to rain...not exactly ideal conditions for a BBQ. I had ordered a BBQ pkg from a butcher (that will remain anonymous so that I don't take part in destroying their reputation) The pkg was meant to contain 35kg of sausages, 30loaves of bread and 10kg of onions. BUT...someone lost it! SO, they had to get the meat for me and the onion, but then they told me that they'd ordered the bread and only half came in, so they couldn't give me any bread. RARRR....so they told me the bakery that they go to and we quickly raced down there. But when we got there the lady didn't speak much English and really had no idea what I was talking about when I explained who sent us. So I just said 'OK...I just need 30 loaves of bread!' So, she called her husband and then informed us that we'd have to wait 20 mins for it to arrive. We had no choice, so I agreed. Then I went to pay with my credit card and she said 'Sorry, we don't take credit cards!' RARRRRR...so I calmly walked down to the ATM to take out the cash I thought was in my bank, only to discover my balance was -$180!!! This is the first month I've had my tithes taken out of my bank by direct debit and I forgot and didn't have the cash in the bank...SO...Im now totally broke except for my last $50 in my wallet...that's gonna have to do!! (I just wanted to cry!!) So I went back and paid and then I called my dad to tell him about my disaster! While I was standing there I looked across the road and there was a Lutheran Church (God Bless the Lutheran Church!!) and their sign out the front said 'HELP LORD!' THE SIMPLEST PRAYER OF ALL. God really has got a sense of humour...so I stopped and just said simply, HELP LORD!!

So, we got to Bunnings and set up. By this time the weather had started to clear up. The day went well. Not only did we sell everything but I had a couple of opportunities to share with a few people, which was awesome!!! :D I made a profit of $430...which was not bad...not what I'd expected, but better than nothing!

After the BBQ I headed down to Sydney where I'd been asked to preach at Sydney's divisional Youth Church, Flayva...it was SO awesome!! God is so great! During the offering time, being as broke as I was, I thought I'd put in a few coins. But I felt God prompt me to put in $50! Man, I was so scared...I had no money left so I had to take out money from the BBQ straight away. I thought 'God, don't ask me to do this...I can't afford it!' But He was asking anyway...so I grabbed it out of my wallet and didn't think about it anymore...I just put it in the offering! Then I prayed 'Ok God, I know you needed that for something...whatever it was for just multiply it for your Kingdom!'

After Flayva my good friend Nath came and slipped something in my hand. He said 'Someone gave me this to give to you. Put it straight in your pocket...don't look at it. Just put it in your pocket and look at it later!' So I put it in my pocket and left it there. I got in the car with Fuji to go home and I opened it. To my complete surprise, there wrapped in a piece of paper was $700!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I was in shock...Fuji turned and saw it and was like 'What's all the money for?' I couldn't believe it. I explained it all...it was amazing! Man, that's what I call multiplying...He multiplied my money by 14!!!

So...not a real long blog today...but just a challenge for you...BE OBEDIENT...even when it's scary...STEP OUT IN FAITH...even when it's uncertain...TRUST HIS POWER...even in the impossible...LET HIM BE YOUR JEHOVA JIREH...

Jehova Jireh, my provider
His grace is sufficient for me

My God shall supply all my needs
According to His riches in glory
He gives His angels charge over me
Jehova Jireh cares for me!

FIGHT FOR THE ONE WHO FIGHTS FOR YOU! YOUR JEHOVA JIREH!

WOW i love it!!!!

God, i want this sort of faith!!!!

There is so much reward in being obedient and being faithful and having that kind of trust, i know because i've personally experienced it before. You'd think that if i have experienced it personally and keep reading about other people that it's happening to, it would be so easy to just do as God tells me and yet it's not....it's so hard. But the outcome and the reward and more importantly the work that is carried out for God's sake is worth keeping on and persevering in prayer.

That has to be one of my fav blogs so far....that's a good one!!! Jesus rocks my world?!

Tink xoxo
